In Vesalius, both interactions and conversations use AI to support healthcare providers, but they serve different purposes at different moments in the care journey:
Conversation
- A conversation is a two-way dialogue between the AI and the patient, typically initiated before the consultation.
- The goal is to collect relevant medical information in a natural and structured way via smart question-and-answer flows.
- The output is a structured summary of the patient’s complaints, history, and context — ready for the clinician to review before seeing the patient.
Interaction
- An interaction refers to the Scribe tool: it listens during the consultation via your device’s microphone.
- The AI does not talk to the patient — it listens silently and captures the key medical content of the conversation.
- It then automatically generates a summary with relevant medical information (complaints, history, plan, etc.), which is stored for that patient.
